Proposed field of ISO technical activity to focus on audit data services
NEW YORK -- The Standardization Administration of China (SAC), the Chinese member body to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), has submitted a proposal for a new field of technical activity on audit data services. As the U.S. member body to ISO, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) invites all interested stakeholders to submit comments on the proposal by Friday, April 26, 2013.
According to the new work proposal, the technical activity would focus on work related to standardization in the field of audit data services, including audit data acquisition, utilization of audit data, and audit data management. The technical activity would define governmental, social, and internal audits and provide classification information regarding accounting data, business data, and auditing data, among other activities, with a central focus on financial auditing.
All comments on this proposal should be sent to Steven Cornish, ANSI senior director for international policy (isot@ansi.org). Feedback received by the April 26 deadline will be reviewed and compiled for the recommended ANSI position and comment, which will then be presented to the ANSI ISO Council for formal approval.
The full proposal filed by SAC is available here.
